Although Tampa does not have a signature “style” of Barbeque like Memphis, Kansas City or Texas, it often has a mixture of these various styles and is distinctly southern. Tampa barbeque is strongly influenced by Texas and Alabama barbeque styles. One thing that is somewhat unique to Tampa and Florida is that some barbeques have a pronounced latin-influenced flavor.
